For various reasons, children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions disproportionately also meet criteria for mental health conditions. However, these don't always present in the same way as would be expected for neurotypical people - and too many are overlooked, shut out of support and face poorer outcomes as a result.
In our latest webinar on Thursday 30 June at 6pm (UK time), the Embracing Complexity Special Interest Research Group (SIRG) will be discussing how mental ill-health can present differently in neurodivergent young people, drawing from the latest research. The SIRG includes experts by experience, researchers, clinicians and charity representatives, and is part-funded by Emerging Minds.
